Each child is welcome to our Sunday school. Each child is a treasure. No matter whether your child is 10 months or 12 years of age – it will be warmly accepted. We love the noisy children as we love the quiet ones. That’s why in our program through lots of songs, games surprises and creative activities the children learn with pleasure and remember the Bible stories. We want to help them know that there is God who loves them more than they can ever imagine. We long to see our children living their lives knowing Jesus, who has died for their sins, as a Saviour and as a Friend.

In the region of the city of Sofia there are lots of natural and historical sightseeings that are connected with the Christian traditions from the time of Rome and Byzantium till now. There is hardly another way in which you can feel the majesty of God’s creation than with going out in the mountains, among the nature. Our outings in the mountain give us the opportunity to meet other people, to establish connections and to communicate with young people and adults, and to lead them to Christ. Very often the wonderful beauty and harmony of nature makes us sing and worship God. Come with us and enjoy all this with us.

We have good musicians and wonderful music, which accompanies our services. Our main service is accompanied by piano. The music is classical. Since the autumn of 2007 we can enjoy the sound of one of the few pipe organs in Bulgaria, The music of the organ gives our services special beauty. Every second week the church choir takes part in our services. Since a few years we have a worship group in our church, which leads us closer to God with modern songs. This group of young people is called to serve God with their musical talents. They have the task to take part in the main service and to lead the whole worship in the youth service.

Due to the various musical instruments and the talented people God has called to serve in our church, we can organize concerts worshipping God twice or more than twice a year, usually around the big Christian holidays – Christmas and Easter.

During the year we have many wonderful occasions to have parties with the children. These celebrations are a wonderful moment for each child. Here they invite their friends with joy and we together delight in what God has done for us by coming to the earth as a small baby, by overcoming the death for us and by creating this beautiful world for us.

Now we have just two small groups in the church. We want to have more and the whole church to be divided in small groups. They are important for the growth and for the spiritual development of every Christian. In the small groups we share our troubles and joys, study the Word of God and encourage each other. Here everyone is free to be himself. The groups are open to everyone – believer or non-believer. If you need someone to listen to you and to help you, someone who can lead you closer to God or if you want to grow in faith, you are welcome. We are looking forward to your visit impatiently.

We, the teenagers, are young people who have decided to share their lives with God. Each Sunday we visit the services in the church and we have our meeting at 3 pm, right after the Youth Service. This is time we spend together studying the Bible, praying and discussing things important for us. We like to go hiking. And we also like going to the summer camps each year. What camps? What outings? And what do we do there? Come and meet us at 86 Rakovski str. in the Dr Long United Methodist Church and we are going to tell you.

Women are the biggest group in our church. They have their regular separate meeting each Wednesday at 3 pm. Here they learn to hear God’s voice listening to His Word, to pray and worship Him with songs and music. An important contribution of the women in our church is the organizing and the participation in the Women’s World Day of Prayer. This is the only activity, which succeeds to gather people from different churches and denominations together under one roof with the purpose to serve God. You are also welcome!

We, the people from the church wish to listen to God’s voice, to follow him and to live according to His will letting the Holy Spirit guide us. Our prayer meetings are like an aerial. There we realize where God is leading us.

Morning Prayer. Each morning, except Monday, we have a prayer meeting at 5.30. We believe that the most important thing for the day is the communication with our Lord. We believe that God gives us His blessings and power when we give Him our hearts.

Weekly Prayer Meetings. Each Tuesday at 6.30 pm we have a prayer meeting. Here we turn our attention towards the needs of the people around us, especially to those who are ill, lonely, isolated and underprivileged. We also pray for the needs of the church as whole and for the progress of God’s work – in our country and around the world. This is also a time for mutual encouragement and giving thanks to God.

Prayer evenings. These are evenings for prayer. Usually they are on the first Friday of the month, after the youth meeting. This is time for sharing and prayer. Everyone can pray as he/she wish and may stay as long as he/she desires.
